LIGHTING THE LANTERNS AT DUSK
LanternFest – A community event open to the public
WHAT: LanternFest, the only local event that incorporates the old European tradition of the lighted lantern parade at dusk while still remaining uniquely Austin.
WHEN: 4 p.m.-Dark, April 4, 2009, School Open House from 5:00-6:00 pm
WHO: Hosted by Sri Atmananda Memorial School, a private, non-sectarian school serving grades K-12.
WHERE: Sri Atmananda Memorial School campus on the 10-acre grounds of the historic Mansion at 4100 Red River in Central Austin.
COST: Entry is free. Food, drink, children’s activity tickets, and raffle tickets are available for purchase, with proceeds to benefit the school.
