KPM Institute Board of Directors The KPM Institute is led by a nine-member board of directors. Sri Atmananda Memorial School operates under its oversight. The board appoints the school director and is responsible for the school's compliance with the KPM Approach to Children teaching approach.
Law Watkins - Chairman Dickerson, MD BA English - Yale University PhD Art History - University of Michigan Mr. Watkins has taught at American University in Washington, D.C. and has served as a trustee for the Maryland Historical Trust and for the Philips Collection in Washington, D.C. He currently practices sustainable agriculture on his family's 286-acre farm and devotes most of his time to volunteering for the KPM Institute.
Suzanne Pitman Austin, TX BA Political Science - Pennsylvania State University MLS Library Science University of Pittsburgh After a 25-year career as a university librarian and instructor in library science, Ms. Pitman is now retired and volunteers for the KPM Institute full time. Torran Anderson Austin, TX BA Liberal Arts - Northern Arizona University MA Teacher Education - Goddard College Mr. Anderson has researched educational environments in the United States, India, Nepal, and the Netherlands. He currently writes children’s books and volunteers at the KPM Institute. Frank Bloch Nashville, TN BA Psychology - Brandeis University JD - Columbia University PhD Politics - Brandeis University Mr. Bloch has taught at the University of Chicago and at the University of Delhi in India. He has served on many non-profit boards including the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Jewish Federation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee. He is currently a Professor of Law at Vanderbilt University Law School.
Tom Moore Austin, TX BA History - University of Texas at Austin BBA Marketing - University of Texas at Austin Mr. Moore, and an All-American baseball pitcher at UT Austin, served as a coach on levels from little league through college, including coaching the UT Austin freshman baseball team. He owns and operates a successful printing business in Austin, Impressions Printing and Graphics, and has served as an Adopt-A-School sponsor for Casis Elementary School and Zavala Middle School. Suzie Nash - Treasurer Dallas, TX BA English - University of Texas at Austin Mrs. Nash developed a videotape production company, Stronghold Visuals, which became the primary independent contractor for documentaries and news stories for Exxon Company, USA and had the first ever video exhibit at the Houston Contemporary Arts Museum. In 1984 she moved to the Dallas area and established Champions Management, a full service commercial real estate investment and management firm. She is the co-founder of The Fulton School in Rockwall, Texas and currently serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for that school. Her volunteer efforts are primarily focused on the KPM Institute and its related activities. Molly Seeligson Dallas, TX BA Mathematics - Southern Methodist University Ms. Seeligson is the founding Board President of The Clear Spring School in Eureka Springs, AR an independent school serving grades Pre K-12th. She directed the school for 16 years and continues to serve as a school board member after 33 years. Ms. Seeligson also serves on the boards of the Fulton School (Dallas) and Arvest Bank in Eureka Springs. She is now the Director of the Eugene McDermott Scholars Program at the University of Texas at Dallas. Walter Steves Elgin, TX BA Philosophy - Trinity University As an Austin entrepreneur for over twenty-five years, Mr. Steves established successful businesses in the fields of land development, home contraction, trucking, and bookselling.
